Welcome.
Hi, I'm Adam. I make videos under the name Straight Up Grizzly for brands of all sizes. Here's a bit about me...
After graduating in Special Effects Design in 2007 I started out at Complete Fabrication, creating effects for some of the biggest brands out there including Carte D’Or, Crest, Walls and Nestlé. Whilst there, I learned from some of the best liquid effects minds in the business.
Despite loving getting my hands dirty in (albeit fake) ice cream and chocolate, I really wanted to get back behind the camera - something I missed from university. In 2009 I became Content & Creative Manager at Bragster.com, a social startup based in Shoreditch, London. Whilst there, I created campaign videos for the likes of Adidas, Hasbro, Britvic and Warner Brothers.
A year later, Bragster was acquired by Guinness World Records. As in-house Video Producer for the global authority in record breaking, I curated the GWR YouTube channel, as well as its sister channel, GWR:OMG! I also worked closely with the in-house commercial team to create videos for clients. These included Estée Lauder, Dreamworks, Royal Caribbean International, Butlins, Cadbury and The BBC.
After over four great years at GWR, I joined Xero as their UK based in-house Video Producer in 2014. While here I produced content on small business doing big things.
Just over a year later I was offered a chance to join one of London's most exciting digital agencies. The opportunity was too good to pass up and I said a sad farewell to Xero to become Senior Video Producer at Exposure Digital. Whilst there, I worked on content for clients such as Heineken, Microsoft and Merlin Entertainment.
It wasn't long before I realised that my heart was in small business - so much so that I took the plunge and became one myself. Straight Up Grizzly Productions, after years of being a fun sideline for small projects here and there, became full time in 2016. Since then my clients have included Google, Activision, Square, Visa and Xero to name a few, and the list is growing all the time.
